🌈Encouraging Mondays: Gratitude Changes the Day

😊 Good, Blessed Encouraging Mondays, Family, Friends & New Encouragers!

💛 Today’s message is entitled:

“Gratitude Changes the Day”

 📖 SCRIPTURE READING — (NLT)

Psalm 118:24

“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

 💛 ENCOURAGING MONDAYS REFLECTION

“What You Focus On Shapes Your Day”

Family…

God is inviting us to pay attention to where our focus goes.

Because what we focus on throughout the day will shape how we experience the day.

If our focus stays on what is wrong, missing, frustrating, or uncertain…

the day will begin to feel heavy very quickly.

But when we intentionally shift our focus toward gratitude…

 something begins to change.

This is not about ignoring real situations.

This is about recognizing that even within real challenges…

there is still something to be thankful for.

The Lord is gently reminding us that gratitude is not automatic.

It is practiced.

It is chosen.

And it grows stronger the more we use it.

God’s presence brings a perspective that allows us to see:

• what is still working

• what is still present

• what is still a blessing

Even on a difficult day.

Gratitude does not deny reality.

 It widens it.

It allows you to say:

“God, this part is hard…but I also see what You are still doing.”

And that shift can change how you move through your entire day.

 💛 ENCOURAGING THOUGHT FOR TODAY

If you’ve been feeling:

• stuck on what’s going wrong• frustrated by what hasn’t changed• focused on what you wish was different

Pause and remember:

There is still something in this day to be thankful for. There is still something in your life that is working. There is still evidence of God’s presence around you.

God is still speaking.God is still drawing.God is still walking with you.

And gratitude can help you see it.

 💛 ENCOURAGING ACTION

(Based on today’s Encouraging Thought)

So what does this look like in your everyday life?

When you first wake up—Before starting your routine, name three specific things you are thankful for.Example:“God, thank You for waking me up, for having a place to live, and for the strength to get through today.”

When something doesn’t go your way—Instead of replaying the frustration, pause and ask:“What is still going right in this moment?”Then say it out loud to God.

When you catch yourself focusing only on what’s wrong—Pause and intentionally shift your focus by naming one person, one provision, or one moment you are grateful for.

When you are in a conversation where others are complaining—You don’t have to correct them, but quietly choose a different posture by saying to yourself:

“God, help me stay grounded in gratitude right now.”

At the end of your day—Take a moment and reflect:

“What were two things today that I might have overlooked but can thank God for now?”

Gratitude is not something you feel first.

It is something you practice—until your perspective begins to change.

 🍎 TEMPLE CARE CHECK-IN

This journey is not about guilt or extremes.

It’s about awareness, stewardship, and grace.

You may be:

• consistent

• restarting

• adjusting

• learning

• observing

And all of it still counts.

This week let’s connect gratitude to how we care for our bodies.

Choose ONE intentional act of care and acknowledge it as a blessing:

• eat a nourishing meal and thank God for it before and after• drink water and recognize it as provision for your body• take a short walk and notice your ability to move• rest your body and thank God for the opportunity to pause

Gratitude is not only spiritual—it can be practiced physically.

When you begin to appreciate what your body can do…

it changes how you treat it.

 🙏🏼 CLOSING PRAYER

Lord,

Thank You for Your presence, Your patience, and Your provision.

Bring our hearts into alignment with You.

Shine on every place where our focus has been consumed by frustration, worry, or lack.

Teach us how to practice gratitude—even when life feels challenging.

Help us to recognize what You are still doing,

what You are still providing,

and what You are still sustaining.

Shift our perspective.

Steady our thoughts.

And open our eyes to see Your goodness in our everyday lives.

In Jesus’ powerful, majestic name, we praise and pray,

Amen.

 DAILY PROCLAMATION

Before we close, I want to invite you—only if you feel led—to say a daily proclamation with me.

This is the proclamation I return to daily. Not out of perfection, but out of surrender.

From Survival to Surrender — My Daily Proclamation

God, today I stop negotiating with You.

I stop hiding parts of my life behind excuses, wounds, and fear.

I stop managing sin instead of surrendering it.

I stop calling survival “strength” when it is really exhaustion.

I release every attachment that feels good but pulls me away from truth.

I let go of relationships, habits, and cycles that soothe me temporarily but cost me spiritually.

I acknowledge what I already know: what does not align with You cannot heal me.

Today, I surrender control.

I surrender comfort.

I surrender timing.

I surrender the false intimacy I’ve used to avoid true wholeness.

I choose alignment over appetite.

Obedience over urgency.

Healing over hiding.

God, I no longer want to survive — I want to live whole.

I invite You into every area I’ve kept guarded, delayed, or divided.

Lead my life.

Heal my heart.

Reorder my desires.

From this moment forward, I choose surrender —

not because I am weak,

but because You are strong.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

CLOSING BLESSING

💞 Much love for you all!

😊 Have an amazingly Blessed day and week.
