👪CHILDREN’S CORNER SAFEROOM

🌈Ages 2–11 • Gentle • Joyful • Simple • God-centered

🌿A Message to Parents & Guardians

The Children’s Corner SafeRoom is a gentle, faith-centered space designed especially for young hearts. It is guided by someone with more than 31 years of real classroom experience — teaching students from kindergarten through 12th grade, including special needs, and even first-generation college students. After decades of hearing children’s real stories, supporting teens through real-life challenges, and helping families navigate school, friendships, emotions, and faith, Shawna brings the same heart of care into this Safe Room.

Every message is created to be age-appropriate, comforting, faith-centered, and grounded in genuine educational and emotional experience. While Shawna is not a licensed therapist, she is an educator who has spent her life listening, guiding, and inspiring thousands of students — and she now offers that same gentle support to your children, reminding every child that they are seen, loved, and never alone!

Welcome. Your child is safe here.

⭐Children’s Tip Theme (Monthly Focus)

Theme Title:

🌈YOU ARE SAFE TO TELL

✨Main Truth:

If something feels scary, confusing, or hurts your body or your feelings, you can tell a grown-up you trust.

💛What This Means:

Sometimes your heart tells you, “Something isn’t right.”

That feeling is important. God gave it to you.

🌈Who Is a Safe Grown-Up?

A safe grown-up is someone who:

  • listens to you

  • helps you

  • believes you

  • wants to keep you safe

(This can be a parent, grandparent, teacher, pastor, coach, or another trusted adult.)

Important Reminder:

You are never in trouble for telling the truth.

You are never wrong for asking for help.

Faith Connection:

God cares about you and your safety.

You can talk to God and talk to a grown-up

🙏🏼A Little Prayer for You

“Dear God,

Thank You for helping me grow.

Help me be kind today, brave today, and full of joy today.

Thank You for loving me every single day.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

🌈Want to Share Something With Me?

Do you have:

A question?

A happy moment?

Something you learned?

Something you’re proud of?

🥗NUTRITIONAL INSIGHT CORNER:

Poem Title: FOOD DETECTIVE🕵🏼‍♀️

**God made your body special,

from your head down to your feet.

So be a little Food Detective

every time you eat!

Look for ‘added sugar’ —

if it’s zero, that’s the clue

that this food will help your body

do what it’s made to do.

Crunch veggies, sip water,

try fruits in every hue…

Healthy choices make you strong,

and God is proud of YOU! ** 🌈🍐

🌈WHY THE RAINBOW!

In Scripture, the rainbow is a reminder of God’s promises, faithfulness, and care.
