💛Encouraging Mondays: How to Release Your Worries and Burdens to the LORD!

😊👋🏼Good Blessed Encouraging Mondays Family, Friends, and new Encouragers!

Let’s sit for a few minutes and go through this Bible Study together!

📖 Psalm 68:19 (NLT)

Praise the Lord; praise God our Savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. Interlude

📖 Matthew 11:28–30 (NLT)

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

📖 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”

God doesn’t ask us to carry our worries until they become unbearable. He lovingly invites us to bring every concern to Him because He cares deeply for us. Every time worry returns, we have another opportunity to place it back into His hands, trusting that His love, wisdom, and strength are greater than our own.

💛 Reflection

How do you manage the secret things you carry in your heart—those quiet burdens?

Do you carry them alone, or do you acknowledge that God invites you to allow Him to carry them?

Some burdens are visible.

Other burdens remain hidden beneath our smiles, responsibilities, routines, and conversations.

They may involve unanswered prayers, lingering worries, difficult questions, disappointment, grief, or responsibilities that weigh heavily upon our hearts.

Sometimes no one else knows what we are carrying.

But God knows.

He sees every quiet concern.

He understands every unspoken prayer.

He knows the thoughts that follow us throughout the day and the worries that attempt to keep us awake at night.

💛 And He never intended for us to carry them alone.

📖 Psalm 68:19 reminds us that the LORD carries our burdens daily.

Not occasionally.

Not only when we have reached our breaking point.

Daily.

That means God is not standing at a distance, waiting to see whether we are strong enough to handle life by ourselves.

He is present.

He is attentive.

He is willing to carry what is too heavy for us.

💛 Yet many of us have become so accustomed to carrying burdens that we do not know how to release them.

We wake up thinking about them.

We rehearse them throughout the day.

We imagine every possible outcome.

We carry yesterday’s pain, today’s responsibilities, and tomorrow’s uncertainty at the same time.

**Then we wonder why we feel mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically exhausted.

The weight is real.

But so is God’s invitation.

📖 Jesus calls those who are weary and carrying heavy burdens to come to Him (Matthew 11:28–30, NLT).

He does not say,

“Figure everything out first.”

He does not say,

“Become stronger before you come.”

He does not say,

“Carry it until you have proven your faithfulness.”

He simply says,

“Come.”

Come while you are tired.

Come while you are uncertain.

Come while your heart is hurting.

Come while the answer has not yet arrived.

Come while the circumstances remain unchanged.

Come because He is the One who gives rest.

Releasing a burden to the LORD does not mean the situation no longer matters.

It does not mean grief is not painful.

It does not mean losing a job, facing illness, enduring divorce, experiencing disappointment, or walking through uncertainty becomes easy.

It means we no longer attempt to carry the full weight of those experiences by ourselves.

There is a difference between experiencing a burden and living burdened down.

Just as temptation may come without defining us, burdens may come without controlling us.

The question is not whether difficult circumstances will ever reach our lives.

The question is:

What will we do when they come?

Will we carry them as though everything depends upon us?

Or will we bring them to the One who has already invited us to release them?

📖 First Peter 5:7 teaches us to give all our worries and cares to God because He cares about us.

That invitation is deeply personal.

God does not merely care about the outcome.

He cares about you while you are walking through it.

He cares about your heart.

He cares about your rest.

He cares about the thoughts consuming your mind.

He cares about the tears you have not shown anyone else.

He cares about the responsibilities you are trying to manage.

He cares about the burdens you cannot explain.

💛 You are not inconveniencing God when you bring Him the same concern again.

Sometimes we release a burden in prayer, feel peace for a while, and then pick it back up before the day is over.

The worry returns.

The question rises again.

The circumstances remind us that the situation has not changed.

At that moment, we can release it again.

Releasing our burdens is not always a one-time decision.

Sometimes it is a daily act of trust.

Sometimes it happens moment by moment.

Each time the worry returns, we can return it to God.

Each time fear tries to settle in our hearts, we can place that fear before Him.

Each time our minds begin rehearsing what could go wrong, we can redirect our thoughts toward what we know is true about God.

He is faithful.

He is present.

He is wise.

He is loving.

He is able.

📖 Psalm 55:22 also tells us to give our burdens to the LORD and trust Him to take care of us.

We often want God to explain everything before we release anything.

But trust does not require complete understanding.

💛 Trust says,

“LORD, I may not understand what You are doing, but I know who You are.”

💛 Trust says,

“I cannot control this situation, but I know it is not beyond Your control.”

💛 Trust says,

“I do not know what tomorrow holds, but I know You will be present when tomorrow comes.”

When we continue carrying what God has invited us to release, worry often grows because we are trying to solve with human strength what requires divine help.

But when we release those burdens, we create room in our hearts to receive His peace.

📖 Philippians 4:6–7 does not simply tell us not to worry.

It tells us what to do instead.

Pray about everything.

Tell God what we need.

Thank Him for what He has already done.

Then His peace guards our hearts and minds as we live in Christ Jesus.

God never leaves us with an empty command.

He does not merely say,

“Stop worrying.”

💛He gives us a pathway.

Prayer.

Honesty.

Thanksgiving.

Trust.

Peace.

We bring Him what troubles us.

We speak openly with Him.

We remember His faithfulness.

We choose to trust Him again.

And His peace begins guarding the places where worry once attempted to take control.

🙏🏼 Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for caring about every part of my life.

Thank You for seeing the quiet burdens I carry in my heart, including the ones I have not shared with anyone else.

Forgive me for the times I have attempted to carry everything in my own strength.

Forgive me for rehearsing my worries more than I have rehearsed Your faithfulness.

Today, I bring my concerns, questions, responsibilities, disappointments, and unanswered prayers to You.

I acknowledge that You are stronger than I am.

Your wisdom is greater than mine.

Your love is deeper than I can fully understand.

Your hands are capable of holding everything that feels too heavy for me.

Holy Spirit, help me recognize when I am picking up burdens I have already placed before the LORD.

Remind me to return to prayer.

Bring God’s Word back to my remembrance.

Help me take responsible action without becoming consumed by outcomes I cannot control.

Teach me to trust God one day at a time and, when necessary, one moment at a time.

Guard my heart and mind with Your peace.

Give me rest where I have been weary.

Give me strength where I have felt depleted.

Give me hope where I have felt discouraged.

Help me remember that I am never alone and that I do not have to carry life’s burdens by myself.

Thank You for carrying me.

Thank You for sustaining me.

Thank You for inviting me to come to You exactly as I am.

Today, I release what I cannot control and place it into Your loving and capable hands.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

💛 Reflection Questions

How do you usually respond to the quiet burdens you carry in your heart?

Do you release them to the LORD, or do you find yourself repeatedly trying to manage them alone?

What helps you recognize when concern has become consuming worry?

How can prayer, thanksgiving, and remembering God’s faithfulness change the way you respond when a burden returns to your mind?

Is there a responsibility you need to carry faithfully while releasing the outcome to God?

😊 Living It Out

Take a quiet moment today and acknowledge before God whatever has been weighing upon your heart.

You do not have to create a long list.

You do not have to explain it perfectly.

Simply speak honestly with Him.

You may pray:

🙏🏼 “Heavenly Father, You already know what I have been carrying. I place it into Your hands today. Show me what belongs to me, and help me release what belongs to You.”

Then identify what God may be asking you to do next.

Perhaps your next step is to pray and rest.

Perhaps it is to make a necessary telephone call.

Perhaps it is to ask someone for help.

Perhaps it is to stop rehearsing an outcome you cannot control.

Perhaps it is to return to a promise in Scripture every time worry attempts to rise again.

When the burden returns to your thoughts, do not condemn yourself.

Release it again.

Remind yourself:

💛 “I have placed this in God’s hands. I will remain obedient, but I will not carry it alone.”

💛Encouragement for Today

You do not have to pretend that life is easy.

You do not have to deny your emotions.

You do not have to act as though difficult circumstances do not affect you.

But you also do not have to live crushed beneath their weight.

God sees you.

God cares about you.

God invites you to come.

The burden may be real, but so is His strength.

The question may remain unanswered, but His presence remains.

The situation may not change today, but you do not have to face it the same way you did yesterday.

You can pray.

You can release.

You can trust.

You can rest.

And when you find yourself reaching for the burden again, you can place it back into His hands.

The LORD has never asked you to carry life alone.

Let Him carry you today.

🙏🏼 Today’s Proclamation

Today I choose to release my worries and burdens to the LORD. I will no longer carry alone what God has invited me to place into His hands. I trust that He sees me, He cares for me, and He is faithful to sustain me. As I pray, trust, and walk in obedience, God’s peace will guard my heart and my mind. I will do what God has called me to do, and I will trust Him with what only He can do. Today I choose faith over fear, peace over worry, and surrender over striving. In Christ, I am strengthened, sustained, and never alone.

💞 Much Love for You All!
