😊Encouraging Mondays: Strength Through Dependence

šŸ‘‹šŸ¼šŸ˜Š Good, Blessed Encouraging Mondays, Family, Friends & New Encouragers!

šŸ“– Today’s message is entitled:

 ā€œStrength Through Dependenceā€

 šŸ“– SCRIPTURE READING — (NLT)

Philippians 4:13

ā€œFor I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.ā€

šŸ’› ENCOURAGING MONDAYS REFLECTION

ā€œNot Me Aloneā€

Family…

God is inviting us to shift how we think about strength.

Many of us have learned—whether directly or indirectly—that strength means handling things on our own. Figuring it out. Holding it together. Not needing help.

But this is not the strength that God is talking about.

This is not about perfection. This is about dependence.

The Lord is gently reminding us that we were never designed to carry life by ourselves.

And yet, many of us try.

We try to manage our responsibilities, our emotions, our decisions, and even our struggles… without inviting God into the process.

Not because we don’t believe in Him—but because we’ve grown used to relying on ourselves.

šŸ‘šŸ¼šŸ‘šŸ¼šŸ˜Š God’s presence brings a strength that is different.

It is not forced. It is not pressured. It is received.

And sometimes, dependence on God looks like very real, everyday moments:

When you feel overwhelmed and instead of pushing through silently, you pause and say,ā€œLord, I need Your help with this.ā€

When you’re trying to make a decision and instead of rushing, you stop and ask,ā€œGod, guide me in this.ā€

When your emotions feel heavy and instead of shutting down, you bring it honestly before Him.

This is not weakness.

This is alignment.

Because the truth is:

If we only rely on ourselves, we will eventually feel the weight of everything we’re carrying.

But when we depend on God, we are no longer carrying it alone.

And that is where His strength meets us.

 šŸ’› ENCOURAGING THOUGHT FOR TODAY

If you’ve been feeling:

• overwhelmed by responsibility• mentally or emotionally exhausted• like you have to figure everything out on your own

Pause and remember:

You are not expected to carry this alone. You are not required to have all the answers. You are not without help.

God is still speaking. God is still drawing. God is still walking with you.

And He is inviting you to depend on Him.

šŸ’› ENCOURAGING ACTION

So, what does that look like in real life?

How do you actually depend on God throughout your day?

Start simple. Start where you are.

When something feels overwhelming—Pause and say quietly:ā€œLord, I need Your help right now.ā€

When you’re trying to make a decision—Instead of rushing, pause and say:ā€œGod, guide me. Show me what’s right.ā€

When your emotions feel heavy or you feel frustrated—Be honest in that moment:ā€œLord, this is how I’m feeling. Help me respond the right way.ā€

When you feel tired of carrying everything—Release it right there:ā€œGod, I give this to You. I don’t want to carry this alone.ā€

You don’t have to wait for the ā€œright timeā€ to pray.

You can talk to God:

• in your car• at your desk• in the grocery store• in the middle of your day

Dependence is not about long, perfect prayers.

It’s about real, honest connection—moment by moment.

And every time you pause and invite Him in…

 you are depending on Him.

 šŸŽ TEMPLE CARE CHECK-IN

This journey is not about guilt or extremes. It’s about awareness, stewardship, and grace.

You may be:

• consistent• restarting• adjusting• learning• observing

And all of it still counts.

This week, let’s connect dependence to how we care for our bodies.

Choose ONE intentional moment each day to pause instead of pushing:

• Before your first drink of the day, pause and take a breath• Before reacting to stress, pause for 10 seconds• Before continuing when you feel tired, pause and check in with your body

In that pause, simply say:

ā€œLord, I need Your strength right here.ā€

This is not about doing more.

It’s about learning to stop and receive.

šŸ™šŸ¼ CLOSING PRAYER

LORD,

Thank You for Your presence, Your patience, and Your light.

Bring our hearts into alignment with You.Shine on every place that needs clarity, healing, and renewal.

Teach us how to depend on You—not just in big moments, but in everyday life.

When we feel overwhelmed, remind us to pause. When we feel pressured, remind us we are not alone. When we feel tired, remind us that Your strength is available to us.

Help us walk honestly,

live intentionally and rest confidently in You.

Cleanse us.

Guide us.

Renew us.

In Jesus’ powerful, majestic name, we praise and pray,

Amen.

 šŸ™šŸ¼ DAILY PROCLAMATION

Before we close, I want to invite you—only if you feel led—to say a daily proclamation with me.

This is the proclamation I return to daily. Not out of perfection, but out of surrender.

From Survival to Surrender — My Daily Proclamation

God, today I stop negotiating with You.I stop hiding parts of my life behind excuses, wounds, and fear.I stop managing sin instead of surrendering it.I stop calling survival ā€œstrengthā€ when it is really exhaustion.

I release every attachment that feels good but pulls me away from truth.I let go of relationships, habits, and cycles that soothe me temporarily but cost me spiritually.I acknowledge what I already know:what does not align with You cannot heal me.

Today, I surrender control.I surrender comfort.I surrender timing.I surrender the false intimacy I’ve used to avoid true wholeness.

I choose alignment over appetite.Obedience over urgency.Healing over hiding.

God, I no longer want to survive — I want to live whole.I invite You into every area I’ve kept guarded, delayed, or divided.Lead my life.Heal my heart.Reorder my desires.

From this moment forward, I choose surrender —

not because I am weak,

but because You are strong.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
