💖Encouraging Mondays: This Day Is a Gift
😊Good, Blessed Encouraging Mondays, Family, Friends & New Encouragers!
Before we continue, I want to pause and acknowledge something meaningful.
💖👏🏽👋🏼 To everyone celebrating a birthday this month, to everyone celebrating an anniversary, to those honoring milestones, and to those who have remained faithful to resolutions and commitments, big or small: We see you. We celebrate you. And we honor the consistency, courage, and intention it takes to keep going.
Whether you chose to read more, rest more, be more present, care for your health, or simply stay committed to growth — your effort matters.
💞 Happy Birthday! Happy Anniversary! Congratulations on every milestone and every resolution kept!
You are loved. You are supported. And you are not doing this alone.
💞 A Special Father’s Day Acknowledgment
To all fathers, fathers-to-be, grandfathers, and father figures—
We see you.
To the fathers who show up daily, who provide, who protect, who lead, and who love with consistency—thank you.
To the fathers who are learning, growing, and trying to do better—your effort matters.
To the fathers who have stepped in, stood in the gap, and taken on responsibility when it wasn’t easy—your presence matters more than you know.
To the fathers who desire to be present, who are navigating challenges, or who are working to rebuild and reconnect—your heart matters.
You are seen. You are valued. And you are appreciated.
😊😎 Happy Father’s Day—this month and always.
📝 A NOTE FOR THIS MONTH
Family…
This month, God is inviting us to see something differently.
Many people wake up in the morning with thoughts like:
“What’s good about today?”
“I don’t feel like doing this again.”
“I’m tired already.”
But the truth is—
you didn’t just wake up this morning.
God woke you up.
It is His breath in your lungs.
His mercy that met you again.
His grace that gave you another opportunity.
Some people did not make it to see this day.
And yet—you did.
This day is not random.
This day is not guaranteed.
🎁 This day is a gift.
That’s why it’s called the present.
And this month, we are going to learn how to live that way.
Not pretending everything is perfect. Not ignoring real life.
But learning how to say:
“God, I may not understand everything in this day…
but I recognize that You gave it to me.”
You can be honest with God and still be grateful.
You can face challenges and still rejoice.
And over these next five weeks, we are going to build this together—
one day at a time.
📖 Today’s Message Is Entitled:
“This Day Is a Gift”
📖 SCRIPTURE READING — (NLT)
Psalm 118:24
“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
💖 ENCOURAGING MONDAYS REFLECTION
“A Shift in How You See Today”
Family…
God is inviting us to shift our perspective.
Rejoicing is not about how the day feels.
It is about recognizing who gave it.
This is not about perfection.
This is about awareness.
The Lord is gently reminding us that every day carries His presence—
whether we acknowledge it or not.
God’s presence brings a different way of living.
It changes how we wake up.
It changes how we respond.
It changes how we move through the day.
Because when you realize:
“God gave me this day”
You stop seeing it as something to get through—
and start seeing it as something to walk through with Him.
💖 ENCOURAGING THOUGHT FOR TODAY
If you’ve been feeling:
• unmotivated to face the day
• overwhelmed before the day even begins
• disconnected from purpose
Pause and remember:
This day is not against you.
This day is not random.
This day was given to you.
God is still speaking.
God is still drawing.
God is still walking with you.
And He gave you this day.
💖 ENCOURAGING ACTION
So what does this look like in your everyday life?
When you first wake up—Before reaching for your phone or starting your routine, pause and say: “God, thank You for this day. Help me to walk through it with You.”
When you catch yourself dreading something—Pause and shift your words:
“Lord, I may not enjoy this, but I’m grateful for the opportunity to face it with You.”
When your mindset starts to turn negative—Pause and reset in that moment:
“God, help me see this day the way You see it.”
When the day doesn’t go as planned—Instead of shutting down, say:
“Lord, I still trust You with this day.”
You don’t have to control the whole day.
Just choose one moment to recognize it as a gift.
That’s where the shift begins.
🍎💪🏽 TEMPLE CARE CHECK-IN
This journey is not about guilt or extremes.
It’s about awareness, stewardship, and grace.
You may be:
• consistent
• restarting
• adjusting
• learning
• observing
And all of it still counts.
This week, let’s connect gratitude to how we care for our bodies.
Choose ONE intentional start to your day:
• drink water before anything else
• take a few deep breaths before getting up
• step outside for fresh air
• stretch your body for a few moments
Start your day with intention.
Just like your spirit…
your body benefits from a mindful beginning.
🙏🏼 CLOSING PRAYER
Lord,
Thank You for Your presence, Your patience, and Your light.
Thank You for the gift of this day.
Help us not to overlook what You have given us.
Help us to shift our perspective and recognize Your hand in our lives.
Teach us how to rejoice—not because everything is perfect, but because You are present.
Guide our thoughts.
Steady our hearts.
And help us to walk through each day with awareness, gratitude, and trust.
In Jesus’ powerful, majestic name, we praise and pray, Amen.
🙏🏼 DAILY PROCLAMATION
Before we close, I want to invite you—only if you feel led—to say a daily proclamation with me.
This is the proclamation I return to daily. Not out of perfection, but out of surrender.
From Survival to Surrender — My Daily Proclamation
🙏🏼 God, today I stop negotiating with You. I stop hiding parts of my life behind excuses, wounds, and fear. I stop managing sin instead of surrendering it. I stop calling survival “strength” when it is really exhaustion.
I release every attachment that feels good but pulls me away from truth. I let go of relationships, habits, and cycles that soothe me temporarily but cost me spiritually. I acknowledge what I already know: what does not align with You cannot heal me.
Today, I surrender control. I surrender comfort. I surrender timing. I surrender the false intimacy I’ve used to avoid true wholeness.
I choose alignment over appetite. Obedience over urgency. Healing over hiding.
God, I no longer want to survive — I want to live whole. I invite You into every area I’ve kept guarded, delayed, or divided. Lead my life. Heal my heart. Reorder my desires.
From this moment forward, I choose surrender —
not because I am weak,
but because You are strong.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
