🍇Temple Care Pillar: Honoring God with Our Choices
😊Good Blessed Encouraging Mondays Family, Friends, and New Encouragers!
Would you like to continue on our clean eating journey together? Hooray! Because I’d love to continue this journey with you as we refocus and embrace this TempleCare Pillar Message!
💛🤔 A Thought-Provoking Question
Before we eat anything today, it might be helpful for us to pause and ask ourselves one simple question:
**Will this choice help build the body God has entrusted to us, or will it slowly tear it down? **
That one question can gently shift our focus from simply satisfying an appetite to faithfully stewarding one of God's greatest gifts—our bodies.
Temple Care is not about perfection.
It is not about guilt.
It is not about following a diet.
It is about learning to honor God one choice at a time.
📖 Daniel 1:12–15 (NLT)**
*"Please test us for ten days on a diet of vegetables and water," Daniel said. "At the end of the ten days, see how we look compared to the young men who are eating the king's food. Then make your decision in light of what you see."*
*At the end of the ten days, Daniel and his three friends looked healthier and better nourished than the young men who had been eating the food assigned by the king.*
Like Daniel, we have opportunities every day to make choices that reflect our desire to faithfully follow the Lord.
Small, consistent choices often become lifelong habits.

😊 Poem
One Choice at a Time
By Shawna S.
Each day we choose what fills our plate,
The path of wisdom or the weight.
Not out of fear, nor driven pride,
But walking with the Lord as Guide.
Daniel chose to honor God,
Though others chose a different way.
He trusted God with all his heart,
And followed Him from day to day.
Our bodies are a gift divine,
Entrusted for this earthly time.
So every choice, though small it seems,
Can help fulfill God's greater dreams.
We need not strive for perfect days,
Nor measure worth in passing ways.
One faithful choice, then one once more,
Can lead us where we've not been before.
So when decisions come our way,
Let's pause before we choose each day.
Not asking only, "What tastes best?"
But "What honors God above the rest?"
One step in faith,
One meal with care,
One grateful heart,
One whispered prayer.
💛 Reflection
Daniel's greatest victory wasn't found in vegetables.
It was found in obedience.
His food choices reflected a heart that desired to honor God above everything else.
Our goal is the same.
As we continue our own Temple Care journey, may every choice become another opportunity to thank God for the body He has entrusted to us and to steward it with wisdom, gratitude, and love.

💛 Reflection Encouragement
We're in this together.
Each healthy choice is another opportunity to honor the One who created us.
Let's continue encouraging one another as we grow in faith, steward our bodies with wisdom, and remember that lasting transformation happens one faithful choice at a time.
📖 So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."* — 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NLT)
💛 Anchoring Thoughts
As we close this Temple Care Pillar, let’s carry one simple habit with us.
Before we eat, let’s pause.
Before we make our next food choice, let’s take a moment to reflect.
Not out of guilt.
Not out of fear.
But out of gratitude for the body God has entrusted to us.
One Thought Provoking question can help renew the way we think.
For example:
Will this help build the body God has entrusted to us, or will it slowly tear it down?
Are we nourishing our bodies…or simply feeding a craving?
Will we be thankful for this choice an hour from now?
Will this help us think clearly and serve God well?
Are we eating because our bodies need nourishment, or because our emotions are asking for comfort?
These are not rules.
They are invitations to reflect.
Questions often help us pause long enough for wisdom to speak before appetite does.
As we’ve often said in our Temple Care journey:
If we want to think clear, we better have the right gear.
And perhaps that’s where lasting transformation begins.
Not with a complicated plan.
Not with guilt or shame.
But with one intentional pause.
One thoughtful question.
One faithful choice.
One meal at a time.
As we continue this journey together, may God help us renew our minds, steward our bodies with wisdom, and honor Him in every choice we make.
