🙏🏼 Today, as we celebrate our nation's independence, may we also pause to thank God for the many freedoms and blessings we often take for granted.
As we gather with family and friends, enjoy meals together, and watch fireworks light up the sky, let's also remember that the greatest freedom we can experience is the freedom found through Jesus Christ.
Today's poem, "Freedom Begins Within," is a reminder that while we are thankful for the freedoms we enjoy as a nation, true and lasting freedom begins in the heart when we walk with the Lord.

🌈 Freedom Begins Within

Today we celebrate our nation’s birth,
A land of freedom and priceless worth.
We’re thankful for those who chose to stand,
To help preserve this blessed land.
As fireworks light the evening sky,
May grateful hearts be lifted high.
For freedom shines its brightest light
When truth and love remain in sight.
Yet greater still than earthly gain
Is freedom found through Jesus’ name.
He breaks the chains that hold us tight,
And leads us by His truth and light.
So as we gather, laugh, and pray,
Let’s thank the Lord this holiday.
For every blessing, great and small,
His faithful love surrounds us all.
May peace fill every heart today.
May kindness guide the words we say.
May hope grow stronger as we live,
And may we freely love, forgive.
Let’s cherish freedom while we can,
By loving God and loving man.
One grateful heart…
One faithful prayer…
One nation strengthened…
When God is there.
